In connection with the requirements for compliance with current security standards, the need to modernize database systems and update server operating systems and domain infrastructure, FixIS implemented a complex project for the client Lavaton s.r.o. focused on updating and strengthening key IT systems.
Main steps of the project:
- Domain Infrastructure Modernization – Complete Active Directory refresh and consolidation, including updating policies, access, and user account structure.
- Upgrading server operating systems – Migration of internal servers to the latest versions of Windows Server with an emphasis on increased security and stability.
- Upgrade of database systems – All internal database servers and systems have been upgraded to the latest versions, ensuring higher performance, security and compatibility with modern applications.
- Minimizing impact on operations – All work was planned and executed in such a way as to interfere as little as possible with the work of employees and not disrupt the smooth running of production or administration.
- Ensuring compliance with standards – The entire process was carried out in accordance with the recommendations for information security and enterprise data management.
Technologies used:
- Microsoft Active Directory – A modernized and standardized environment for identity and access management.
- Windows Server (latest versions) – Deployed as the foundation for a server infrastructure with long-term support.
- Microsoft SQL Server – Deployment of current versions to improve performance and security of internal systems.
- IT security standards – All solutions were implemented with an emphasis on risk prevention, access control and data protection.
This project has provided Lavaton with a significantly more modern, secure and efficient IT environment, with all interventions made to ensure continuity of day-to-day operations and non-disruption to production processes.
